Unfortunately we have found that it is not cost effective to build any more   One-off   V8 Trikes, but for those interested here is a little insight into,

        Oliver the Tronster and Rough Justice.

 Tronster ( trike monster ) similar to a gremlin but larger, instead of mechanical rattles and intermittent electrical problems Tronsters throw off wheels, mudguards, etc. if not carefully looked after.

Specifications,

The basic design concept was first to make it very comfortable and easy to ride over long distances with all switch gear and controls to be easy to use and working around those parameters try to make it look ok.

By setting the engine as close to the axle as possible, mounting the fuel tank under the seat and mounting the front wheel as far forward as possible the trike has a weight distribution of 35% on each rear wheel and 30% on the front wheel.

The weight of the completed trike is 730 Kgs

Frame, Formed from cold drawn seamless tubing, all blending around headstock etc. is in steel no braze or filler, then powder coated. The engine and gearbox are rubber mounted to the frame.

Forks, Leading link, Fork legs 2" x "¼ wall CDS tube, billet ally yokes, ZX6 rear wheel, early CBR 1000 front disc tokico 6 pot calliper. The calliper is floating with a torque stay back to the fork leg. Hagon coil over shockers. Fork legs Chrome plated, all leading link components in polished stainless steel.

Rear axle, Jaguar XJ6, narrowed on one side to align the diff pinion to the gearbox. Avo adjustable coil over shocks. Land rover discovery doughnut connects axle to gearbox.

Wheels and tires rear 10.5 x 18 Corvette C6 Chromed ally (copy's) with 295x35x18 Michelin pilot Sport tires, front zx6 wheel with 180/55/17 continental.

Gearbox, Jaguar/Borg Warner 66 Automatic 3 speed with reverse, fitted with heavy duty clutch packs, Kevlar brake bands, 2nd gear hold valve from a P6, High stall torque converter. Gearbox pressure control is also linked to the "clutch" lever to give more control over the gearbox.

Engine, Rover 3500cc V8. Bored +20. high comp pistons, Piper Blueprint cam and lifters,

Cloyes true roller timing chain and gears, adjustable push rods, V8 developments stage 2 Cylinder heads, Edelbrock Performer inlet manifold with 4 Barrel Weber 500 carburettor + K&N Filter. luminition performance ignition.

Cooling system. MGB V8 radiator, twin pacet electric fans on adjustable thermostatic controller.

Brakes, Linked Servo assisted discs all round, with EBC pads.

Seats 1500 Goldwing.

Bodywork, All bodywork, dummy tank and mudguards made from GRP (fibreglass), made from one off patterns and moulds.

Fuel Tank, made from 3 mm aluminium holds 9 gallons located under the seat.

Side protection bars backrest / rack and handlebars from 35 mm stainless steel tube.

Gauges, TPI 4in1 ( oil pres, water temp, volts, fuel ) and electronic speedo driven from GM sender adapted to jag box.

Paint, Pacifica blue pearl base with brilliant Canadian blue hex flake, Graphics ( Oliver peering out through the side of the tank and clawing through the body) finished off with 2 pack lacquer.

Electrical, Switch gear Suzuki bandit and RS components. All double wired back to central control box under dummy tank, all services through relays and protected by circuit breakers.

          ROUGH JUSTICE, , 6.3 Litre INTERCEPTOR V8.

Whilst this is obviously a very powerful machine it was built for, owned and ridden by a gentleman who is paraplegic, so is fitted with hand controls and baskets around the foot plates to retain his feet.

Engine 383 cu in Chrysler 6.3 Litre from a Jensen Interceptor,

The engine is mounted back to front with the crank pulley over the diff the drive is forward through a transfer case and then back to the rear axle. This was done to keep the weight in the right place due to the engine being very heavy with cast steel block and heads. Under hard acceleration from the line it does not spin the wheels or lift the front end, it just gives you an almighty shove in the back !!!

The Engine was stripped, checked, and reasembled with new gaskets and chrome goodies.

Exhausts, One-off Headers and Cherry Bomb Divers.

Gearbox…. 3 speed and reverse Torque flight automatic and Milner transfer case.

Rear Axle … Jaguar XJ6 That is narrowed and chromed.

Forks … Chromed Leading Link with polished billet alloy yokes.

Brakes…. Jaguar discs at rear, 6 Pot Tokiko calliper on front, all servo assisted with extra vac pump and reservoir, The brakes are hand operated.

Seat… After-market Honda GL 1500 goldwing seat. With saddle gel by Travelcade.

Instuments..Speedometer, Oil Pressure Gauge, Water Temperature Gauge and Ammeter.

Fuel Tanks Twin Harley fat bob tanks + auxiliary 5-gallon tank mounted in the chassis.

The body panels are mould formed Glass reinforced plastic and are finished in Porche Guards Red with Airbrush Work to tank and side panels then two pack lacquer.

Radiator… 110 Land Rover Heavy Duty V8, With twin Thermostatically controlled fans.

Wheels and tires … Front ZX6 rear wheel with 190 x 17 tyre.

Rear 10 x 15 Centreline Alloys with 295 x 50 x 15 Tyres.

Tow Hitch point and wheel chair carrier at the rear.
